The symphony of the mountain. On the historic slopes of the Bisamberg rests a secret that is millions of years old. Here one of our most important treasures thrives on a soil that was once the floor of a vast prehistoric ocean.
It is this marine prehistory that shapes the terroir so unmistakably: flysch, the fine Viennese sandstone of long-vanished seas, merges with velvety loess and the glittering traces of crystalline limestone. Ancient vines dig their roots deep into these fossil memories. They virtually soak up the mineral power and give the wine venerable depth.
On this dense foundation a fascinating aroma unfolds. A subtle, elegant fruit combines harmoniously with ripe yellow exotic fruit and a deep, beguiling spice.
This work is carried by an overwhelming biodiversity: ten different grape varieties share this historic soil. They play no short, fleeting solo and form no mere overture. It is the deeply moving impression of a whole orchestra playing the geological heritage of the Bisamberg in multi-layered harmony.

The mature Viennese classic: a one-of-a-kind wine that could not be more unmistakable. Ripeness and minerality combined in one wine.
Taste: multi-layered and complex
The „Bisamberg Wiener Gemischter Satz“ comes from the Ried Wiesthalen, one of the oldest sites on the Bisamberg. This vineyard, enthroned majestically high above Vienna, is home to vines around 60 years old.
The old vines now yield only the smallest crops. In return, year after year the grapes stand out for their special concentration and richness, as well as ripeness and minerality.
Above all, this wine is characterised by its variety of grapes. Grüner Veltliner, Neuburger, Riesling, Roter Veltliner, Traminer, Weissburgunder and much more produce an outstanding, multi-layered and complex wine.
According to analyses by the Federal Office of Viticulture (Bundesamt für Weinbau), the histamine content is below 0.1 mg/l and therefore not detectable.
Contains sulphites.
Profound ripe exotic fruit, multi-layered and complex, fine integrated spice, great tension on the palate.
The soils are rich in clay minerals with crystalline influence and give the wine a unique minerality.
