Trockenbeerenauslese is the top of the pyramid of Austrian Prädikat wines and is harvested only 2 to 3 times a decade. Botrytis, also called noble rot, affects the ripe berries in autumn and makes them shrivel like raisins. Harvested late, carefully and meticulously selected, highly concentrated juice finally drips from the press. Warmth and föhn-like winds in November favoured a phenomenal drying of the grapes and finally produced a timeless essence. The extraordinary concentration of this juice made fermentation last an incredible 2 years.
Or Liquide is very rich and precise in its variety of aromas, reminiscent of a whole basket of exotic fruit. The lively acidity supports the powerful body superbly and breathes an extremely attractive freshness into this sweet wine.
