Cool heights & noble elegance. Some grape varieties demand a big stage. Riesling, the aristocrat among the fine white wines, has sought the proximity of Central Europe's great rivers for centuries. But on the Bisamberg it has a quite extraordinary home full of tension: high up, hidden and sheltered right at the cool edge of the forest.
This exposed altitude shapes its unmistakable character. In the glass this great classic shows striking clarity: cool, crystalline, vibrating with liveliness and carried by a taut, elegant structure.
It is this immediate proximity to the deep green of the forest that led American importers to give it an enchanting, almost poetic nickname: they lovingly call it „The Christmas Tree Wine“. For where the cool forest air caresses the vines, Riesling's classic, juicy stone fruit aromas combine magically with an unmistakable, ethereal note. A hint of pine forest, freedom and clear air: a wine like a deep, refreshing breath in the midst of nature.

Cool elegance: combines cool fruitiness, elegance and freshness in textbook fashion
Taste: refreshing, classic, good
One of the noblest grape varieties, with a long tradition on the Bisamberg, is surely Riesling. Not without reason, for it benefits equally from the proximity of the Danube, the geology and the altitude.
The heat of the day is followed by fresh evening breezes. They let the vines breathe deeply and soak up the spicy aromas of the soil, and in return they lend this incomparable, crystal-clear, mineral character.
Riesling, one of the kings among white grape varieties, develops relatively slowly and usually only reaches its peak in the autumn of the year after the harvest. It is regarded as a wine that still gives pleasure and enjoyment with age.
According to analyses by the Federal Office of Viticulture (Bundesamt für Weinbau), the histamine content is below 0.1 mg/l and therefore not detectable.
Contains sulphites.
Refreshing notes of fresh vineyard peaches and limes, the crisp, invigorating acidity makes it wonderfully easy to drink
The Ried „Wiesthalen“ is one of the highest slopes on the Bisamberg. A high proportion of coral limestone with numerous crystalline inclusions gives the wine its striking minerality, which harmonises perfectly with the fruit aromas.
